Would you like to make this year your best year yet? Do you believe you can do it?
I know you can and I’m about to prove it to you, right here, right now.
If you’re prepared to make a few changes and keep focused on making other small changes as the minutes, hours, days and weeks of the rest of the year go by, you can do it.
How To Live The Rest Of The Year On Your Terms
A mentor of mine used to say that if you want to be successful (which I’m assuming applies to you this year and beyond), there are a handful of things you need to do:
- Be clear about your goal
- Find the information you need
- Apply it
That seems incredibly simple…because it is. The challenge is in making this happen consistently, on a regular basis in your life.
I didn’t believe it could be that easy at first. At that point in time I was just starting a career in consulting – Long story short, I had to learn the had way that the best way to achieve your goals is to keep things as simple as possible, BUT, to do the things that need to be done consistently, just like the 3-step approach I shared with you above.
Your Success Assignment
You’ll get more information on how to make this happen in upcoming posts, however, for now, find a pen and paper and get clear about WHAT you want to achieve, WHY you want to achieve it, WHEN and what you need to know that you don’t. Once you have this information it becomes a lot easier to start to create a simple plan for the next IMMEDIATE step you need to take e.g. get out more so you can meet more of the right type of people, stop watching so much TV so you can be more productive (its full of bad news anyway!), hire a coach to help you overcome your self-sabotaging activities and hold you accountable, update your out-of-date resume and so on.
I believe in you and I’m with you all the way.
All the best!
